Checking your Jobstreet Job matches on the fly

3049083765 e16292b90c o Checking your Jobstreet Job matches on the fly

This tip is only applicable for Jobstreet account holders. This is not a hack, it’s just utilizing what is already there.

First of all, you need to know what RSS, RSS reader is. Jobstreet is kind enough putting this piece of info on their website as well as the RSS reader available out there.

The final step is to add this RSS URL below to your RSS reader. Don’t forget to replace <your jostreet login iD> with your Jobstreet ID. That’s all. You can check the job match immediately.

http://myjobstreet.jobstreet.com/lina/rss.asp?login_id=<your jobstreet login iD>

Apart from being faster, no signing into Jobstreet.com is needed, you can identify which matched job you has already read, based on the default RSS reader marking feature.

How to embed iframe code in wordpress

I encountered this problem when I wanted to embed Google Presentation in WordPress post. So as usual, in writing post screen, I switch to ‘HTML’ mode, paste the code and go back to ‘Visual’ mode. Surprisingly nothing showed up, so I switched back to ‘HTML’ mode, and found out that the embedded code is no longer there. Tried couple of times but with no luck.

I headed to WordPress forum, and moments later found what the problem is. This is a known issue in WordPress 2.5 and above. Whenever ‘iframe‘ code is copied to the post on the ‘html’ mode and when you switch back to ‘Visual’ mode, the code will be gone. The milestone for this bug to get fixed is on 2.9.

The workaround is, once you had put the code there, don’t move back to ‘Visual’ mode. Directly save or publish the post, and the embedded code is viewable. So whenever you want to use ‘iframe’ code in your post, make sure you have finished writing your post, and embedding this code should be the last step before you publish the post.

Alternatively, you can also stay in HTML code whenever you edit the post. Enjoy the slide!

Malaysia A1 GP’s free ticket

A1 GP doesn’t generate buzz as much as it older and bigger ‘sibling’ F1 GP. That’s why F1 race cost you hundreds, but A1 GP cost nothing. The feel, excitement, glamor might be not on par with F1, but expect the same experience watching this race.

No Felipe Massa or Lewis Hamilton, but there is Neel Jani of Sweeden, the reign champion, as well as local driver Alex Yoong and Fairuz Fauzy driving for Malaysia team. Hope they scored another podium this round!!

Why you must watch A1 GP? Why they’re different than F1?

Apart from the free tickets, all cars are identical, in term of chassis, engine and tyre. So the race is pretty much fair to all drivers, where to win the race, it depend much on their skill (and luck), rather than the the aerodynamic setup, engine and the durability of the car, which is the external factor.

I upload the ticket on Flickr, so grab it here.
in case you with to be there. Print it out and redeem at Sepang race circuit on the race day
