Obama VS Mccain site traffic comparison

The election is over, and we all already knew that Obama will be the next US next president this coming January. I know that the whole world cheers by the win, and personally i hope ‘the change’ that he promises will get materialized.

While the actual election result shows that Obama receive huge majority on the way to his win, the traffic gained by Obama’s website has provided an initial sign on who will succeed. As you can see below the traffics are significantly higher compared to what McCain’s website.

As the internet era grows tremendously in recent year, perhaps we can start looking at any political related website to guess, who is the winner on our very own general election, due in the next 4 years.

I think there is a paid version, where you can track your blog. Other than that, compete works like Alexa, only traffic estimator, but with different method. I did brief comparison among Alexa and compete before. You can read it here

  3. Well, I think most of us knew that Obama will win, but there was always that “if”. I think the traffic seems right. McCain was always the underdog, but towards the end, he started to slip. I think this would be a great tool for politicians to use when they are campaigning. They can see how they are doing.

  4. The Obama team sure did effectively use the internet for organising and publicity purposes.

Although it has to be said they really used the experience (and software) that came though the previous Howard Dean campaign.
