In my couple of years experience of using Paypal, this is the first time I’ve been prompted to key in the security code when I attempt to login. It might be not something new, but it indeed new to me. Have you ever stumbled into it?

Create Mac or Dell looks alike dock with Rocketdock

Having seen Dell Dock on Dell Studio, and Mac (have it a long time ago), I’m searching the net to get my own dock, which has brought me to RocketDock.

RocketDock is a similar application distributed free of charge that looks and behaves similar if not better than the latter. Cheers for MS 2000 and XP users since it is compatible to your OS as well.

It has tonnes of addons. You can customize the appearance by using different kinds of skin and icon. Or personalize it by adding more tiny app (docklet), to make your dock useful and cater to your needs. Apart from that, it has a feature to set the minimized application to appear on the RocketDock. Thus any movie currently palying will keep on playing even though after being minimized, like Vista isn’t?

This is how the RocketDock looks like with the default icon, menu and skin (except for Firefox icon).

This is how RocketDock in my Vista OS system looks like. It can be placed at the bottom, right or left of your screen.

Compare it with Dell Dock at the screen shot below. At a glance, it looks similar even though the function and setup beneath it is different. Dell Dock is preset with certain functions, not merely the shortcut to any files or programs. Other than that, Dell Dock icon has a child icon, which is the submenu of the icon itself. Google retiring Adsense Referral ads

Beginning last week of August, Google will be retiring the AdSense Referrals program. If you are still running those ads on your website, you should start removing/replacing the ads code and download the report to your desktop.

By that time, the code will no longer work and leave a blank space in your website. Google is suggesting these alternatives, but the 2nd point makes more sense for current Adsense publisher.

  • Google Adsense for content ad – This is the common Adsense ads. Do NOT put more ads, If you have reached the maximum numbers of ads allowed (3 ads per page).
  • Google Referral Networks – This is the new ads network from Google and the obvious reason why Google is retiring Adsense Referral ads.

Google has acquired the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate operations in March 2008. Together, they’re creating new opportunities for monetization, expansion, and innovation in affiliate marketing.

Performics was founded as the first full-service affiliate network in 1998 and was acquired by DoubleClick in 2004. Today, Performics Affiliate operates as Google Affiliate Network and remains committed to delivering affiliate channel growth for advertisers and publishers.

Personally, Google’s decision is not really impacting me, since I only earn a few bucks ever since I put up their referral code. It’s there since I can’t put more Adsense’s content ads on the page.

I’m gonna register and play around with Google Affiliate Network to see what it is offering. The reminder shows up on the Adsense Setup page as well, to remind your for the same thing.
