Theplanet outage
Apparently there is outage on ThePlanet’s H1 data center in Houston. One of the transformer caught in fire. Read the announcement here
Some of the websites and services that I know was disrupted
- EntreCard - Service and website totally down. No blog or forum available to check the status update, except from their email
- StatCounter - Service is limited although the site itself still up and running. There’ll be lost of data during this period. Check out the forum
- Hostgator - Hostgator has 186 dedicated customers affected by this. Check out the forum
- Site5 - There are quite numbers of servers down due to this. Check out the forum

Update June 6th 2008 - EntreCard has backed up and running. Read the blog
One of my friends’ server was affected and he hosts all of this clients’ website there and it was down and there’s no back up in his computer.
It is a total disaster for him.
I really feel sorry for those who are affected and I know how frustrated it can be.
I just shift my all sites to hostgator last week and I’m grateful that everything is fine for me.
Gosh, very disaster and I’m sure someone will lost a lot of current clients :p Erm luckily im quite busy playing my new games so not on9 and just like “katak bawah tempurung”.
Fortunately, it looks like Entrecard is back up and functioning pretty well now, so it seems that the outage has simply given us a one-day vacation from our dropping routines. For me this was a welcome break because I managed to log in shortly after the site came back online and was able to scoop up some relatively inexpensive advertising deals.
