I know, Facebook is old story, but it is evergreen. It is so popular, and even Maxis has it in its ads (hehe, hope my sister won’t ask me what Facebook or Flickr is) . Ever since the ban of Facebook on our office’s internet network, my interest in Facebook has grown up but not to the level that I’m addicted to it. Actually, it’s not me alone, but some of my colleagues who has never used Facebook tried it out and seems like they’re more addicted than me. Haha

Why I Facebook
Why I think Facebook is good? I work remotely in KL while most of my team-mates and friends are located somewhere else. And not all of them has internet at home. So the only time we can communicate through Facebook and Twitter FOC is during and slightly after office hours (but we are still working ok) AND most importantly, when everyone is online. Is it fun when you get online but nobody is around?

Facebook at home?
I seldom sign in into my Facebook when I’m at home. And if I sign in, I won’t be there for so long. Unless you’re still single, when you’re at home, you’ll have plenty of things to do right? Your kids, your spouse and etc, all need attention from you. This blog needs my attention too, hehe.

Balance
As long as you can divide your time between your work and Facebook, I don’t see much problem here. In fact, Facebook has become a media or bridge that can get foreigners closer to each other. Not everyone of us is outspoken, but still, they can communicate through Facebook. Amazing isn’t it.

I know you’re addicted when you just join. You want to add as many friends as you want, and try out as many apps as you can. You’ll be under control within a week of using it.

More friends more fun?
I try to minimize as little as friends that I don’t recognize in real or offline world. For me, it’s not the number of friends that matters, but the ‘WHO IS HIM/HER’ matters most. But I do accept new friends that do not blatantly do promotions here and there. And 1 more thing, I don’t accept all ‘Facebook request’. It’s a lot!! But this shouldn’t be a big problem since Facebook now has Ignore All function built.

As usual, be friends with me. You’ll find some fellow bloggers in there. See you in facebook!!

I spend an average of an hour a day on facebook.

Most of the content are wasting my time. :)
