February 08 round up post
February has come to an end. The time gone too fast . As usual, it wasn’t complete month without the month’s round up.

After I did a spot check on my spam filter, and de-spam couple of spam comments, this
is the final list of the most talkative this month. I just couldn’t figure it out on how to
‘clean’ up comments from this website from appearing in my spam folder any
longer. To make sure the top commentator is chosen fairly, I’m not relying only on the top commentator plugin. I’d also run the query on the Mysql database based on the plugin’s query and modify it a little bit to return the result. The winner, Shaz who has 27 comments on her name, will receive a t-shirt (that I haven’t decided on just yet). You’ll be contacted in a day or two (or 3).

This month, I’ve posted less than January due to my commitment to my job. I sometimes spend 12 hours in the office to meet the deadline (common excuse for part time blogger). But this won’t stop me from actively maintaining this blog. Check out this month’s posts that I pull from database.

Traffic
Page views and number of unique visitors increased by about 4.5% and 16.71% respectively. Most of them are supplied by Google and Yahoo and from a couple of blogs that I frequently visit and leave comments. Some portion of it also comes from Entrecard and ProjectWonderful which I start using last month. I hope to have a better figure this month.
It’s still long way to go for Blogjer to be a good blog in the blog sphere. Overall, I’m not very satisfied with my own effort and blogjer.com this month. Hope to get better this month. Kampai!!

Congratulation for the improvement of the traffic last month.
My traffic drops in the month of February compare to January. Perhaps it is due to the Chinese New Year celebration where I do not have much time to socialize around in the blogosphere.
However, the traffic from Google to my blog has increased a little bit to >5000 in February. Phew! (Google is not my primary source of traffic)
Let’s move on, buddy.

no problem bro zaki, small matter je tu..but in my opinion implementing a lot of spam protection will make your reader unmotivated to comment..
I take any increase in traffic as a positive sign. It’s those negative numbers I worry about. Keep up the good work.
