Enhancement

John Chow and Shoemoney has changed their blog looks, so I don’t want to be left over :) There is a couple of enhancements/fixing that I have done to make this blog looks better, giving more valuable resources and will then attract more visitors hopefully

Using WP contact form
Previously, I was sharing the contact form with my e-ticketing system for my other websites, but it didn’t look nice. So I installed wp-contactform that I had downloaded from douglaskarr blog which is accessible from the menu below my header. You can contact me if you want to do link exchange as well (but my blog has no PR :( ).

New header.
Previous header is the default header that comes in default with the template. It’s a just the blog name and its description. I would like to see this blog looks prettier, and I think it is time to change with something better. So I grabbed one of the Vista Wallpaper that I downloaded from Digital Inspiration, captured the screen using SnagIt to get the size of original header, cut the Vista wallpaper based on the size header that I got, put some wordings there and finally uploaded it using CoreFtp. Well, it looks very simple, but as long as I’m happy with it, I’ll keep it until I find another nice wallpaper or have enough budget to redesign or to have my very own template.

New advertisement
If you notice, there is a new form of advertising at the upper right of this screen called ‘peelads’. It is only $35 and I think it is quite nice to have it. I have it installed to all my websites to test how much is the click through rate. According to Jonathan Leger, he enjoy 5% click through rate for the 5 days period. Don’t worry, if you’re interested, you can get it here (my affiliate link)

  6. Zul says:

Zaki, your blog has no PR but i can see you are getting quite a steady traffic there. It will multiply once the PR kicks in.

  7. Raymond says:

    Hi Zul,

I’m waiting for the PR update also. Even though by blog is still new, but I do hope to get PR 4 or 5.

Anybody has any idea when is the next round of PR update?

  8. zaki says:

Thanks Zul. This is the longest PR update I ever seen. I heard rumors on several SEO blog before that, Google won’t use PR anymore since it has been manipulated especially to get more profit out of it, thus reducing the relevancy of the search engine result, which depend on partially on PR

  9. zaki says:

Ramond, with your niche topics and current traffic that you enjoy, it won’t possible to get PR4 or 5 in one shot

But I have no idea when will it be

  10. Raymond says:

    I hope you’re right. :)

I left a comment on john chow and shoe money, so i did not want to leave you alone too.
Long time, since i visited this blog, how are you?

Do you feel the ad space in the left does good? I feel all the ads are in the same place.
anyway, i am no expert to teach john chow..

  12. zaki says:

I’m good buddy, just little bit busy doing preparation to move out next month

I personally don’t think ads in the left side is good, so I use most of them for this blog navigation and menu
