Perodua Viva official launch

After months of speculations, finally Perodua Viva was officially launch last night. Prior the lauch, i was receiving few emails regarding this, complete with cars pictures and price. Perodua has successfully using mouth marketing and email by releasing the pictures to public earlier that official launch date eventhough the source of information is unknown (at least to me).
Since unofficially partnering with Toyota through Daihatsu which was acquired by them last year, Perodua has come out with car model based on the previous model from both car manufacturers. This strategy was proven very successful based their initial model called ‘Myvi’ which was sold over 200k (if i’m not mistaken). There is few factors that i feel can be replicated into marketing system
1. Produce interesting and eye catching product – Outer and internal part of the product will determine is successfulness
2. Marketing – Give a product early review by using different kind of media. In Perodua case, they have displayed the model in their showroom partially, means half covered 10 days before launch. The desire to know more of public will direct them to source
3. Do not underestimate ‘by mouth marketing’. In this digital world, we’re seldom talking people directly, instead of that we’re using different medium such as email , internet messaging and blogging which was proven very efficient and cost effective.
3. Copy and enhanc successful strategy or product – If you have website or product that is successful, use the same strategy and give same enhancement to market other products
